FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The OCCOA will Host Two Tiger Ballgame Trips! The Otsego County Commission on Aging (OCCOA) will be hosting two Detroit Tiger ballgame trips to Comerica Park this season. The first trip is scheduled for Thursday, August 15, when the Tigers will play the Seattle Mariners. The Tigers will play the New York Yankees on the second trip, which is scheduled for Thursday, September 12. The start time for both games is 1:10 p.m. Bus transportation will be provided via Air Bear with departure times set for 8 a.m. from the Gaylord Meal Site, located at 120 Grandview Blvd. The bus generally returns to the Gaylord Meal Site by 8 p.m., subject to rain delays and extra innings. The OCCOA’s healthy aging program coordinator, Amanda Dobrzelewski, CTRS, says, “At only $85 per person, these trips are a great deal. The price includes a game ticket, transportation to and from Comerica Park, a food voucher at the park, snacks, and a box lunch.” She adds, “Participants love that they can leave the driving to someone else and avoid the hassle of finding a parking place at Comerica Park and purchasing tickets.” Tickets must be purchased at the time of reservation, no later than the day before each trip. For additional information, Dobrzelewski can be contacted at (989) 748-4068 or [email protected] Persons interested in purchasing tickets can call (989) 732-1122 or stop by the Otsego County Commission on Aging’s main office, located at 120 Grandview Blvd., Monday – Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and Noon, or 1 and 3:30 p.m.
