FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
EXPLORING TECHNOLOGY MEETING WILL FEATURE COMMUNO2 UPDATE The Otsego County Commission on Aging (OCCOA) sponsors the Exploring the World of Technology Program on the first Tuesday of each month from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the University Center Gaylord. The December 3 meeting topic will feature a CommunO2 update by guest speaker OCCOA Executive Director Dona Wishart. She noted, “CommunO2 is a community-focused “SuperApp” which features an easy single sign-in interface that allows residents to quickly and safely connect to other SuperApp users, as well as area organizations, business, services, faith-based communities, live events, and activities in Otsego County.” She added, “Super App users can also enjoy virtual travel around the world, safer web browsing and online shopping, as well as free access to many e-Books, audio books, classic TV and radio shows, and much more.” She shared that users will find that they can even watch the elk at the Gaylord Elk Park through a live webcam or join in Chair Yoga classes at Yoga-45 – all from the comfort of their own homes. They can also enjoy live instant video chats with their family and friends, as well as with staff from many area organizations, businesses, and services. Business and organizations interested in joining the rapidly expanding CommunO2 Business Community or in learning more can contact Wishart at (989) 748-4060 or at [email protected] for more information. The CommunO2 SuperApp is made possible by a Community Partnership Program, funded by the Michigan Health Endowment Fund (HF).
